From the agriculturally rich highlands of Guatemala, this single-origin coffee seriously rocks. We’re talking super balanced notes of molasses and almonds. It’s smooth, it’s interesting, it’s everything we love about medium-dark roasts, without any bitterness. That’s why it’s our go-to roast for anything and everything espresso. It can pull one damn fine shot of espresso, while also pairing nicely with your favorite milk or creamer to create an indulgent treat.

Wow, this coffee is so good! And I love that the pods are compostable, we go through K cups in this house like crazy and we hate it. This is such a better replacement.

I normally don't like dark coffee because it's too bitter but this was perfect! The eco-friendly K-cups are the coolest thing ever!

I love Oakland Coffee, not just because it's a great cup of coffee, but because it's environmentally friendly and they help support our community right here in the East Bay.

I love coffee, I’ve been a barista for 4 years and I gotta say this stuff is really great. Super flavorful with rich undertones but it doesn't have a bitter aftertaste at all.

Best Coffee

Every three week, we receive our subscription of three bags of who beans; Father of All Dark Roasts, Cerro De Oro, and Guapa Chiapas. All are excellent, but Cerro De Oro is our favorite. It is the best coffee we have ever had. Its a dark roast, but never bitter. It has full flavor and low acidity. Great Coffee!

Superb!

Wanted to try this coffee for several reasons, the sustainability of the company, I also lived in Oakland for a while and love the fact they help the community, and of course, Big Green Day fan. I was also hoping this coffee would be better than what I was drinking now, (Illy), but did not expect this. Cerro De Oro is Superb! Dark , but not too dark, rich, not bitter. Perfect☕

Barista’s Dream Beans

Our little family hasn’t bought a latte since the pandemic started and after trying Cerro De Oro I’m not sure we ever will. It pours like a dream from our Breville Barista Express, we’re talking crema for days. It’s a well balanced shot unlike any I’ve tasted before. It’s bold, but smooth and zero bitterness. Love love love!

COFFEE IS IN OUR DNA, ALWAYS HAS BEEN

Late nights writing, rehearsing and performing come with early mornings. So we reached for great coffee to help get it all done. After over a decade of searching for our favorite beans and experimenting with roasting, we thought it was high time to share it with the world. So here we are, sharing something we love with you.

GREAT BEANS GROWN BY GREAT FARMERS

Our partners practice organic, sustainable farming that maximizes the quality of the beans without harming the land. These techniques support native wildlife, keep harmful pesticides out of waterways, and maintain soil health. Every bean is hand-picked and chosen at the perfect point of ripeness.

DITCH PLASTIC

All of our bags and single-serve pods are certified compostable. Why? Lined up, the single serve coffee pods thrown away each year would circle the Earth more than 10 times. Less than 10% of plastic is recycled, and one recent study found that if we don't change our ways, the emissions from plastic will reach the equivalent of over 600 coal power plants by 2050 which could make it impossible to avoid catastrophic climate change.
